NFL Football: Week 16 – My Picks
Posted on | December 23, 2007 | No Comments
I’m 2-0 as I head into this Sunday’s games.
Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers
My Pick: Cowboys 28-13
The Cowboys won’t know if they “really” won until they get the MRI results on TO’s ankle.
The Result: Cowboys 20-13
Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals
Cleveland is getting ready for the playoffs and still might win their division. The Bengals are in all sorts of disarray.
My Pick: Browns 30-20
Kansas City Chiefs at Detroit Lions
This is a meaningless game between two teams who had some hopes for the playoffs when the season began.
I like the Lions at home.
My Pick: Lions 23-14
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts
The Colts are at home. They’re being overlooked because of the Pats. The Texans won’t forget about them after this game.
My Pick: Colts 37-16
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears
The Pack has two losses on the season: One to the Cowboys and one to the Bears. The Bears will be fired-up to play this game since they’re out of the playoffs.
I don’t think the Pack will move the ball very well, but I do think they’ll win the turnover battle. That will the difference.
My Pick: Packers 16-7
New York Giants at Buffalo Bills
The Giants have no confidence. They lose today but still clinch the playoffs because the Skins will lose too.
My Pick: Bills 24-17
Oakland Raiders at Jacksonville Jaguars
This one could get ugly. The Jags should be dominant throughout.
My Pick: Jaguars 30-10
Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints
The Eagles are playing good football. They’ll exact revenge on the Saints and do to Brees what they’ve done to Romo and Brady in the past few weeks.
My Pick: Eagles 20-12
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers
Tampa is totally up and down. But I just don’t see the Bucs allow the 49ers to do anything offensively.
My Pick: Bucs 17-6
Atlanta Falcons at Arizona Cardinals
I’m not sure anyone other than the players’ families care about this one. And they only care because they want their loved-one injury free for Christmas.
My Pick: Cardinals 27-16
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots
Three years from now, the Dolphins (a rebuilt team under Bill Parcells) will look back at this game and laugh as they win the AFC East. But today, they’ll be crying.
However, the Pats have looked ordinary for much of the past month. The question then becomes: Will the Pats win by 14 or 44? And will the Pats pull Brady if the game is decided early in the second half?
My Pick: Pats 40-6
Baltimore Ravens at Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks are coming off a bad loss in Carolina. The Ravens have called it quits since nearly knocking off the Pats.
My Pick: Seahawks 37-10
New York Jets at Tennessee Titans
The Jets put up a good fight last week against the Pats. But that was all the fight they had left.
My Pick: Titans 23-7
Washington Redskins at Minnesota Vikings
This is basically a playoff game. Winner is in great shape to make the playoffs. The loser goes home. Expect a lot of running in this game. I like the Vikings running attack more.
My Pick: Vikings 27-17
Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers
The Chargers have been rolling lately. They’ll continue to do so.
My Pick: Chargers 33-17
