NFL Football: Week 16 – Review of My Picks

Posted on | December 18, 2007 | No Comments

This week’s review begins with me already being down at 0-2.

Here’s a quick look at how I did with the rest of my picks.

Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs

My Pick: Titans 30-17

The Titans looked like the better team in this game. They won it to stay alive in the hunt for the playoffs.

The Result: Titans 26-17

Baltimore Ravens at Miami Dolphins

My Pick: Ravens 21-10

I was way off on this one. The Miami Dolphins got their first win of the season.

How can Brian Bellick (the Ravens coach) still have a job next year?

The Result: Dolphins 22-16

New York Jets at New England Patriots

My Pick: Pats 42-7

The Jets gave the Pats a run for their money. But the Pats did prevail in what was a bit of messy weather.

The Result: Pats 20-10

Buffalo Bills at Cleveland Browns

My Pick: Browns 30-24

This game was played in a snow storm but the Browns did win it.

The Result: Browns 8-0

Seattle Seahawks at Carolina Panthers

My Pick: Seahawks 37-10

The Seahawks didn’t look very good in this one. The Panthers held their offense in check for the entire game.

The Result: Panthers 13-10

Arizona Cardinals at New Orleans Saints

My Pick: Cardinals 23-17

The Saints stayed alive in the playoff chase by beating the Cardinals. I can’t figure out the Saints.

The Result: Saints 31-24

Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

My Pick: Bucs 27-10

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense looked great in this game. The Bucs’ offense looked good too. They rebounded very well from their bad game that they played last week.

The Result: Bucs 37-3

Green Bay Packers at St Louis Rams

My Pick: Packers 37-21

The Pack looks good. In fact, I would put them ahead of the Cowboys in the NFC right now.

The Result: Packers 33-14

Jacksonville Jaguars at Pittsburgh Steelers

My Pick: Steelers 26-20

Jacksonville finally played well in a big game. Meanwhile the Steelers may not be any where near as good as people thought they were.

The Result: Jaguars 29-22

Indianapolis Colts at Oakland Raiders

My Pick: Colts 41-14

The Colts won, but it was very close.

The Result: Colts 21-14

Detroit Lions at San Diego Chargers

My Pick: Chargers 31-17

Look out for the Chargers. They are playing better and better every single week.

The Result: Chargers 51-14

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys

My Pick: Cowboys 33-20

For the first time all year, the Cowboys’ offense looked bad. This a week after their defense looked bad. The Boys may be in trouble. If they don’t bounce back next week against the Panthers, it might be time to sound the alarm – they’ll be going the wrong way at the wrong time of year.

The Result: Eagles 10-6

Washington Redskins at New York Giants

My Pick: Giants 20-13

The Redskins looked horrible on offense but the Giants looked worse.

The Result: Redskins: 22-10

Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings

My Pick: Vikings 27-10

The Vikings started out a little slow but they got it going to win this one by a touchdown.

The Result: 20-13

This Week: 8-8

Season: 67-40
