NFL Football: Week 14 – My Picks
Posted on | December 9, 2007 | No Comments
I’m already 0-1 this week. Looks like no perfect week again.
But I’ll try to get all of today’s picks right.
Saint Louis Rams at Cincinnati Bengals
The Rams have become to get things together. The Bengals are just horrible. How much longer can Marvin Lewis hang on as the head coach? This team has too much talent to be this bad. Add in the legal problems of some of the players… Lewis’ days have to be numbered.
Lewis will get closer to being fired after this one.
My Pick: Rams 29-21
Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions
One the surface this one looks like a no-brainer. The Lions have lost 4 straight while the Cowboys sit atop the NFC and have won 7 straight.
But this one is personal after Jon Kitna ripped the Dallas D after their game last year.
Still, the Lions have a good passing attack and that could give the Cowboys problems. But I don’t think so.
If the Cowboys are going to be the best, they need to play like the best. They know this too.
My Pick: Cowboys 31-13
Oakland Raiders at Green Bay Packers
This one could get ugly – for the Raiders that is.
Lambeau will be frozen tundra and the Packers will be anxious to get back in the win column.
My Pick: Packers 27-7
Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills
How bad would it be if the Dolphins got their first win in Buffalo?
It won’t happen. The Dolphins lack the confidence and the Bills gave too much pride.
Result: Bills 27-14
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Houston Texans
The Bucs are a playoff team. The Texans are trying to get there.
The Bucs will be too much.
My Pick: Bucs 21-20
San Diego Chargers at Tennessee Titans
It’s time to put it together for the Chargers.
But I have no idea about them.
Their defense should give Vince Young fits.
My Pick: Chargers 20-10
Carolina Panthers at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jags are simply the better team. Enough said.
My Pick: Jags 33-10
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
I don’t trust Eli Manning, especially in Philly against the Eagles.
I’m going with Philly at home. Eli will throw 3 picks – at least.
My Pick: Eagles 17-16
Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks need this one. If Seattle wins then the West is theirs. If that don’t then the Cards have a chance.
I like Seattle just because of Holmgren and Hasselback.
My Pick: Seahawks 27-17
Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers
The Vikings are looking more and more like a playoff team. Amazing. But I think they’ll do it.
My Pick: Vikings 33-14
Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots
So many people are taking the Steelers that it makes me nervous.
New England can rally against it all and end-up blowing out the Steelers.
But my heart has to go with the Steelers. And I’ll go big.
After this one, people will be wondering, “What’s wrong with the Patriots?”
My Pick: Steelers 37-17
Cleveland Browns at New York Jets
The Jets are a mess. The Browns are pretty good.
My Pick: Browns 28-10
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos
Both of these teams are seriously struggling this year. They’re both a disappointment.
The disappointment will continue… for both teams.
My Pick: Broncos 9-7
Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens
After this one, the Ravens won’t have anyone to blame but themselves.
My Pick: Colts 41-10
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons
What a horrible Monday night game.
ESPN might as well show the 2006 World Series of Poker for the 100th time.
My Pick: Saints 20-16
