NFL Football: Week 13 – Review My Picks
Posted on | December 4, 2007 | No Comments
Not a good week for my picks. Let’s get right to them…
San Francisco 49ers at Carolina Panthers
My Pick: 49ers 20-12
I was way off on this one. The Panthers dominated this game. I guess the 49ers aren’t improving at all.
Result: Panthers 31-14
Buffalo Bills at Washington Redskins
My Pick: Redskins 27-6
Again, I was way off. The Redskins didn’t finish a game again. And they didn’t play well enough the rest of the game to pull away from the lowly Bills.
Result: Bills 17-16
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans
My Pick: Titans 20-17
Finally, I picked the winner. The Titans and Vince Young looked pretty good.
Result: Titans 28-20
Atlanta Falcons at Saint Louis Rams
My Pick: Rams 23-14
The St. Louis Rams did indeed get their third win of the season and it wasn’t very close.
Result: Rams 28-16
Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles
My Pick: Eagles 24-10
The Seahawks have now put together a four game winning streak. I’m not much of a believer in them but they are in great shape to win the NFC West.
As good as AJ Feeley was for the Eagles against the Patriots, he was just that bad in this one.
Result: Seahawks 28-24
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings
My Pick: Lions 30-23
The Lions are going down fast. The Vikings are suddenly in the middle of the Wild Card hunt.
Result: Vikings 42-10
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts
My Pick: Colts 35-24
The Colts did continue their domination over the Jaguars. They are now in great shape to win the AFC South again.
Result: Colts 28-25
San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs
My Pick: Chargers 27-16
As I said when I made my picks, I give-up trying to figure out the Chargers. On this day they looked much more like the Chargers of last year. Tomlinson was very good and so was their defense.
Result: Chargers 24-10
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins
My Pick: Dolphins 10-9
The Dolphins are in serious trouble of being winless this year. How does any team get blown out by the Jets?
Result: Jets 40-13
Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders
My Pick: Raiders 20-16
I had this one right. The Raiders took it to the Broncos. Denver is not looking good at all.
Result: Raiders 34-20
Cleveland Browns at Arizona Cardinals
My Pick: Browns 41-33
I believe I said I was finally a believer in the Browns when I made my picks.
Well, I don’t believe any more.
Result: Cardinals 27-21
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints
My Pick: Buccaneers 19-10
I was fairly close on this one. The Bucs continued to roll while the Saints continued to stumble.
Result: Bucs 27-23
New York Giants at Chicago Bears
My Pick: Bears 24-13
The Giants rallied late to win this game. Perhaps the G-Men can use this win to help them finish the season strong. They are in solid position for the fist Wild Card position.
Result: Giants 21-16
Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers
My Pick: Steelers 34-24
The Steelers completely shutdown the Bengals’ offense.
Cincy is done and the Steelers can now look forward to playing the undefeated Pats.
Result: Steelers 24-10
New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens
My Pick: Patriots 34-7
The Pats got very luck for a second straight week. Are they the best team in the history of the game? They don’t look like it right now.
Result: Pats 27-24
This Week: 8-7
Season: 48-27
