NFL Football: Week 12 – My Picks – Review
Posted on | November 27, 2007 | No Comments
It’s Tuesday, so that means it’s time to take a look at my picks from this past weekend. For the three games on Thanksgiving, I went 3-0. So not let’s see how I did for the weekend’s games.
New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
My Pick: Saints 27-12
This game went pretty much the way I thought it would. The Saints looked good once again. The Panthers didn’t.
The Result: Saints 31-6
Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars
My Pick: Jaguars 23-16
In my mind the Jaguars are now the third best team in the AFC. They are looking good. The Bills have now lost 2 games in a row after enjoying a winning streak.
The Result: Jaguars 36-14
Washington Redskins at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
My Pick: Buccaneers 27-17
The Redskins are in trouble. But their focus is now away from the field with the untimely and tragic death of their 24 year old star safety Sean Taylor. What a horrible, horrible tragedy.
The Result: Buccaneers 19-13
Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams
My Pick: Rams 31-23
The Rams looked good for a while in this one. However, the Seahawks are beginning to flex their muscle. Perhaps the team the comes out of the NFC West (looks like it’ll be the Seahawks) won’t be too bad.
The Result: Seahawks 24-19
Minnesota Vikings at New York Giants
My Pick: Giants 27-10
What a horrendous loss for Eli Manning and the Giants. This just might propel them to another second half swoon.
The Result: Vikings 41-17
Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs
My Pick: Chiefs 24-12
Somebody please put the Chiefs out of their misery. The Raiders looked like the better team and that’s pretty pathetic.
The Result: Raiders 20-17
Cincinnati Bengals at Tennessee Titans
My Pick: Bengals 37-31
Wow, if the Bengals can build on this one… look out. Finally Chad Johnson caught a touchdown pass. In fact he caught three.
The Result: Bengals 35-6
Houston Texans at Cleveland Browns
My Pick: Texans 28-23
I need to stop underestimating the Browns. Cleveland is a good team.
The Result: Browns 27-17
San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals
My Pick: Cardinals 31-10
The Cardinals lost in a heartbeaker. Warner threw for a few thousand yards and the Cardinals still lost. The 49ers got a badly needed win.
The Result: 49ers 37-31
Baltimore Ravens at San Diego Chargers
My Pick: Chargers 23-14
The Chargers looked pretty good against a Ravens team that is quickly fading into oblivion.
The Result: Chargers 32-12
Denver Broncos at Chicago Bears
My Pick: Bears 23-16
The Bears scored a late touchdown to send it to OT and then they won it in OT. Great win? But why did the Broncos keep kicking the ball to Hester? He returned a punt and a kick for a touchdown. He has my vote for the best returned ever.
The Result: Bears 37-34
Philadelphia Eagles at New England Patriots
My Pick: Patriots 41-14
As I wrote yesterday, the Pats looked vulnerable in this one. But they did scrape out the victory.
The Result: Pats 31-28
Miami Dolphins at Pittsburgh Steelers
My Pick: Steelers 27-7
This game was horrible because the field was like a swamp. How can an NFL field be in that poor of a condition? How? How? How?
The Result: Steelers 3-0
This Week: 11-5
Season: 40-20
