NFL Football: Week 11 – Review of My Picks
Posted on | November 20, 2007 | No Comments
Now it’s time to take a look at how I did with my picks this week.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
My Pick: Tampa Bay 27-17
The Atlanta Falcons are horrible. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers look more and more like they’ll be the team to win the NFC South. I was right with the winner but it wasn’t as close as I thought it would be.
The Result: Tampa Bay 31-7
Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens
My Pick: Cleveland 24-14
Crazy game. The Browns try to kick a field goal with time expiring. The ball hits off the upright, goes through but bounces off the back of the support beam, and then bounces out. The officials say “no-good”. Half the players leave the field. Then the officials (rightly) change their minds. Cleveland wins it in overtime.
The Result: Cleveland 33-30.
New York Giants at Detroit Lions
My Pick: Detroit 27-24
I was wrong with this one. The Giants were pretty much in control the whole time.
The Result: New York Giants 16-10
Miami Dolphins at Philadelphia Eagles
My Pick: Philadelphia 33-10
The Dolphins are still winless but this one wasn’t easy for Philly.
The Result: Philadelphia 17-7
Oakland Raiders at Minnesota Vikings
My Pick: Oakland 16-7
The Vikings found a way to score points without Adrian Petersen playing.
The Result: Minnesota 29-22
San Diego Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars
My Pick: Jacksonville 26-17
The Chargers continue to disappoint. What is wrong with Philip Rivers? He looks like a completely different quarterback than the guy that played last year.
The Result: Jacksonville 24-17
Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts
My Pick: Indianapolis 31-10
The Colts won but they needed a last second field goal. I know Harrison is out but still, why is Manning playing so poorly?
The Result: Indianapolis 13-10
Arizona Cardinals at Cincinnati Bengals
My Pick: Cincinnati 37-20
Wow, the Bengals are horrible and the Cards are starting to look pretty good again.
The Result: Arizona 35-27
Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers
My Pick: Green Bay 31-17
And I keep my streak alive of picking one game exactly right!
Packers looked dominant. The Panthers looked out of sorts. This one was over in the second quarter.
The Result: Green Bay 31-17
New Orleans Saints at Houston Texans
My Pick: Houston 30-27
Has anyone seen the Saints offense that looked so good last year? The Texans have found their offense again now that Andre Johnson and Matt Shaub are back.
The Result: Houston 23-10
Pittsburgh Steelers at New York Jets
My Pick: Pittsburgh 27-10
How can the Steelers look like a team that might beat New England one week and then lose to the Jets the next week? Not good.
The Result: New York Jets 19-16
Chicago Bears at Seattle Seahawks
My Pick: Seattle 17-16
Look out NFC West. The Seahawks are starting to get it going. A little bit at least.
The Result: Seattle 30-23
St. Louis Rams at San Francisco 49ers
My Pick: St. Louis 31-20
The Rams have won two in a row! The 49ers are sliding into oblivion.
The Result: St. Louis 13-9
Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys
My Pick: Dallas 31-24
This may have been the best game of the weekend. TO looks better than ever. The Redskins fought their guts out.
The Result: Dallas 28-23
New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills
My Pick: New England 37-17
This thing was over before the opening kickoff. It was an absolute blood bath.
The Result: New England 56-10
Tennessee Titans at Denver Broncos
My Pick: Denver 21-17
Denver now has a share of the AFC West lead. They are beginning to look good.
The Result: Denver 34-20
This Week: 13-3
All – Time: 29-13
