NFL Football: Week 10 – Predictions
Posted on | November 11, 2007 | No Comments
Well, we’ve reached another Sunday morning, so it’s time for my picks again.
Last week I went 8-6. Hopefully I can do better this week.
Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers
This could turn into the match-up of horrible quarterbacks.
The Panthers will make just enough plays in the running game and on defense to win this one.
My Pick: Panthers 20-16
Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers
I’m looking forward to this match-up because each offense does something well that the other offense does horribly. The Packers can pass and the Vikings can run. I also love to watch Adrian Petersen run the ball.
The Pack’s defense holds Petersen down enough to win this one and the Pack scores plenty of points.
My Pick: Packers 30-17
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs
No LJ will mean no win.
As bad the Broncos have looked. They will manage to win this one. But it could be ugly.
My Pick: Broncos 16-13
Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins
These teams are heading in opposite directions.
The Bills are going up and the Dolphins are going down.
My Pick: Bills 31-13
St. Louis Rams at New Orleans Saints
This could and most likely will get very ugly.
My Pick: Saints 41-10
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers
This will be a great match-up. We’ll see if the Cleveland Browns are for real and if they will challenge for the AFC North.
Pittsburgh doesn’t show-up for some games and that’s a concern. But they’ll be fully ready for this one.
My Pick: Steelers 31-23
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans
This game may end-up having a lot to do with the playoffs.
Jacksonville has looked horrible at times and the Titans defense looks great. The Titans running game is also very good but their passing game is horrendous.
Vince Young will be exploited in this one.
My Pick: Jaguars 20-17
Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins
Washington looked horrible against the hapless Jets. The Eagles looked horrible against the Cowboys.
The Cowboys are far better than the Jets. Therefore the Eagles will win this one.
Bad logic? Well, wait until it proves to be true.
My Pick: Eagles 17-9
Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens
What is wrong with the Bengals?
The Ravens probably know and they’ll use that information to win this game.
My Pick: Ravens 28-20
Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals
The Lions will continue to surge toward at least 10 wins (just as Kitna said they achieve way back in the off-season).
My Pick: Lions 38-21
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
This is the biggest game of the day. The Giants win and it’s all tied-up in the NFC East. The Cowboys win and the division race is pretty much over (Dallas will effectively own a three game lead).
This was a shootout back in Week One. There shouldn’t be as many points scored this time, especially by the Giants (Dallas has three key players this time that they didn’t have last time.)
If the Giants win, I’ll be surprised and they’ll be able to claim to be the best team in the NFC.
My Pick: Cowboys 31-20
Chicago Bears at Oakland Raiders
Chicago is a big disappointment this year. Oakland is a big disappointment every year.
The Bears will his a new low today.
My Pick: Raiders 20-12
Indianapolis Colts at San Diego Chargers
I liked the Colts all week because they’ll be so angry about their loss to the Pats last week.
Now I find out they won’t have Harrison or Gonzalez in this one. That means all they have at WR is Wayne and Moorehead. Ouch.
Still, the Norv Turner is the worst coach in the history of the league to be given three opportunities to be Head Coach.
My Pick: Colts 16-13
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks are going to throw the ball more, so says their coach Mike Holmgren. Okay, they still aren’t very good. But they play in the NFC West so they’ll still make the playoffs.
They better win Monday night or they’ll be in real trouble.
They will win.
My Pick: Seahawks 24-17
