Reds aiming for Wembley triple

Liverpool could be set for another Wembley date after they were handed a home draw against Stoke City in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
The Reds take on Cardiff City in the Carling Cup final on Sunday, their first Wembley appearance since 1996. Liverpool made short work of Brighton to book a last-eight spot and keep their FA Cup dream alive.
Having waited so long for a Wembley return, they could play at the famous old venue as many as three times between now and the end of the season. For Kenny Dalglish, the target is simply to end a six-year wait for a trophy.
Elsewhere in the draw, resurgent Sunderland booked a trip to Everton after they heaped more misery on Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal.
The Wearside outfit are a side transformed under Martin O’Neill and scored a goal in either half to dump the Gunners out of the competition. If punters want to bet on the FA Cup winner, then Sunderland could be a handy outside bet.
If Sunderland are to book a rare trip Wembley, they will need to get past a determined Everton side. They progressed to the last eight with a 2-0 victory over Blackpool.
Leicester City face a trip to either Chelsea or Birmingham City after they produced the shock of the round with a 2-1 victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road.
An all-Championship clash is a distinct possibility given Chelsea’s recent form. They face a tough replay at St Andrew’s after a 1-1 draw with in-form Birmingham at Stamford Bridge.
Bolton Wanderers continue to find relief in the cup and were given a trip to Tottenham Hotspur or Stevenage after beating Millwall 2-0 in round five. Spurs are clear favourites to progress after a goalless draw saw them take Stevenage to a replay at White Hart Lane. Harry Redknapp’s men are also favourites in the FA Cup betting to lift the trophy come May.
The quarter-finals will be played on the weekend of March 18-19.
