Sports Pick for Brewers at Mets

At 7:10pm EST the Milwaukee Brewers are in New York to face the Mets. On the mound for the Mets is Tom Glavine. The Brewers are sending Chris Capuano to the hill. This game is going to features two lefties and it could be a small ball affair. The under/over is sitting at 8.5 right now and I like the under play in this game. Below I will list the key points that you need to think about.

- The Brewers are averaging 4 runs a game against weaker competition for the most part (Pit and Ari). They played St. Loius, a good team, and scored 4,3 and 4 runs respectively.
- The Mets are averaging close to seven runs a game, but it has come against the worst teams in the national league (Fla and Was).
- The Mets played Washington in two series now and their numbers are inflated because of it.
- Glavine is very well rested and should keep to his normal 3 runs or less per game.
- Capuano is giving up around 4 runs per game on average.
- If we look at just the pitchers, this game on paper looks to be a 4-3 or 5-3 type affair.

I don’t play too many unders, but this is one of those games where I feel the under is a real possibility. The current line is pretty close, but slightly above, where this game should fall. I would recommend waiting to bet until later on. There’s a small chance that the line could go up a 1/2 of a run to 9 given the Mets scoring outbursts so far this year. As explained, I feel their scoring is inflated. So shop around and see if you can’t get it at 9, because those half of a run increases are very valuable.
