Game:- Fulham vs Manchester United
Competition :- Barclays Premier League
Venue :- Craven Cottage
Date :- Sunday, 22 August 2010
KO time:- 16:00 BST

Fulham host Manchester United in their second game of the 2010-11 season. It is the first away tie for the Red Devils who were convincing at home against Newcastle on the opening matchday. Will Sparky, the former City manager be a thorn in United’s flesh? Read our previews and place your bets with our preferred bookmakers.

Fulham – last few games – most recent game on top

v.Bolton – Draw 0-0
v.Werder Bremen – Win 5-1 (Zamora, Gera*3, E.Johnson/Pizzaro)
v.Portsmouth – Loss 1-0 (Wilson)

The Cottagers could only gather a point against Bolton in their opening fixture which was a satisfactory debut for Mark Hughes. However they have a huge distraction in the form of Mark Schwarzer pushing for his move to Arsenal. Mark Hughes has already turned down a bid for the veteran goalkeeper and is unlikely to play him against Man Utd. Besides, Konchesky, Kamara, Johnson and new signing Senderos are all sidelined due to injury problems.

Manchester United – last few games – most recent game on top

v.Newcastle United – Win 3-0 (Berbatov, Fletcher, Giggs)
v.Chelsea – Win 3-1 (Valencia,Hernandez,Berbatov)
v.Airtriciy XI – Win 7-1 (Park*2, Owen, Hernandez, Valencia, Evans, Nani)

Manchester United have started the season in an emphatic fashion by beating Newcastle 3-0 in their opening game. However the Red Devils have found themselves struggling in this fixture during the last couple of years. Evra, Hargreaves and Ferdinand are on the long term injury list while Anderson is back in training but is not expected to play any part on Sunday.

Match Verdict: Fulham 1-1 Manchester United (Zamora/Rooney)

Fulham have beaten Manchester United on their last two trips to Craven Cottage. However Man United have a stronger squad and good form backing them. A very tight game is expected with a draw as the most likely result. I sit on the fence for this one.
