Liverpool host a Blackburn side who have won only once on the road this season in the Premier League this season. The Reds will be on a high after winning 3-1 against Romanian champions Unirea Urziceni in the Europa League. Bet on Liverpool vs Blackburn with Bet365 after reading this preview.

Liverpool went behind in Bucharest but a long range stunner from Javier Mascherano brought them level. Unirea’s inability to clear the ball cost them dearly when Babel scored Liverpool’s second. Skipper Steven Gerrard netted the third to compete a 4-1 win on aggregate for Rafa Benitez’s men.

Liverpool have defensive problems. Martin Skrtel and Glen Johnson are both injured while Krygiakos is suspended. Jamie Carragher should move to the center to partner Agger while Kelly or Deggen will come in at right back. Fernando Torres is also a doubt.

Liverpool form- last five games- most recent- Liverpool scorers in brackets-

Unirea 1-3 Liverpool ( Mascherano, Babel, Gerrard)
Man City 0-0 Liverpool
Liverpool 1-0 Unirea ( Ngog)
Arsenal 1-0 Liverpool
Liverpool 1-0 Everton ( Dirk Kuyt)

Blackburn beat local rivals Bolton Wanderers 3-0 last weekend to increase the relegation fears of the Trotters.

Croatian striker Nikola Kalinic put Blackburn ahead after collecting Morten Gamst Pedersen’s knockdown. Jason Roberts added a second after Bolton failed to clear a Blackburn corner and Gael Givet completed a fine day for Rovers when he headed home Blackburn’s third.

Blackburn skipper Ryan Nelsen is injured. Chris Samba is however available for selection after serving his ban.

Blackburn 3-0 Bolton ( Kalinic, Roberts, Givet)
Blackburn 1-0 Hull ( Myhill OG)
Stoke 3-0 Blackburn
WHU 0-0 Blackburn

Verdict:- Rovers last won a league game at Anfield in 1993. That record is unlikely to change on Sunday afternoon.
