NFL: Previewing Dallas at Minnesota

This is probably the best match-up of the weekend. And this just might be the real match-up to see who goes to the Super Bowl from the NFC. If Minnesota can beat the Cowboys then they are definitely back and if the Cowboys beat the Vikings then they will keep rolling and be even tougher to beat next week.
Are the Vikings back on track after blowing out the Giants in the last game of the season? (I’m not going to mention coming back in the second half against the Bears and still losing. I’m not that lame.) Or was that more of a result of the Giants just packing it in and not really showing up for the game.
I’m inclined to think the Giants just packed it in. I mean, I’ve never seen a Giants team roll over so easily. So, the Vikings might be in trouble in this one.
The crazy thing is that Vikings fans keep talking about the Vikings finding themselves and becoming a passing team for their last 6 quarters. Well, if the come out and just try to pass against the Cowboys then they’ll be in a lot of trouble. The Cowboys pass rush will be all over Favre. The Vikings have to hope to get Adrian Petersen going early and then go to the passing game. But that’s easier said than done since Dallas is great against the run.
Dallas will get their points in this one. (If they don’t it will be shocking.) The Vikings secondary is weak and the Cowboys passing game is clicking. Watch for Miles Austin to break a couple tackles and turn a couple plays from short gains to big plays.
So, the Vikings better be ready to put-up at least 30 points in this game. If they get AP going then that’s a possibility. But I don’t know that it will happen. And I don’t think Favre will be given the time to work his magic. The Vikings will make some plays but not enough of them.
I’m taking the Cowboys by a score of something like 30-20.
