3 of the 4 playoff games in the Wild Card round were a disappointment. But the 4th (and the last game of the weekend) really paid off. The Green Bay Packers at the Arizona Cardinals was a great game. One of the better playoff games that’s every been played. But what did we learn from each game? Well, let’s take a look at that now.

Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots

We didn’t learn a whole lot from this game. Honestly the Pats were vulnerable all season and the Ravens just played good tough football and beat them up. What was surprising was the poor play by Tom Brady. However, the Ravens were the better team and they proved it.

Now the Ravens move on to play at Indianapolis next Saturday night. Don’t expect this game to be nearly as easy. But I’ll get to my predictions later in the week.

Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals

This was just an awesome game. And Kurt Warner and Aaron Rodgers were outstanding too. We learned that both of these teams are good. But neither one of them has much of a defense.

So, next week look for the Cardinals to have a lot of trouble stopping the New Orleans Saints. But the Saints defense isn’t exactly stout either. So, it’s very possible that this game could turn into another shootout. And it might just come down to which team has the ball last.

Overall, we learned that there are some good Wild Card teams rolling into the Divisional Round of the playoffs. So, lookout Saints, Vikings, Chargers, and Colts. Making it to the Championship Game won’t be a cake-walk. In fact, although I’ll give my predictions later in the week, I will say right now that it wouldn’t surprise me to see at least half of the top seeds to fall this weekend.
