NFL: Previewing Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals

As with the other Wild Card game in the NFC, this game is a rematch too. The Green Bay Packers and the Arizona Cardinals just met in Arizona. The Packers trounced the Cardinals but the Cardinals didn’t have anything to play for and they were very vanilla. They also rested Kurt Warner.
So, don’t expect a walk in the park for the Packers. They will face a different team on Sunday. But I still don’t know if it will add up to a win for the Cardinals.
This is a tough game to pick because the Cardinals can’t be counted out. Last year I thought they would be out in the first round of the playoffs but they went all the way to the Superbowl. So, I don’t know that anyone can count them out at anytime, until they lose, of course.
The Cardinals also have an explosive passing attack. At anytime Warner can explode and so can Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin. And the Cardinals defense can be really good too.
But the Packers have a very solid offense. Aaron Rodgers has been a stud this year. And the Packers defense is really good too. With Charles Woodson, the Pack has a chance to shutdown at least one of the Cardinals weapons.
So, who will come out on top? Well, I like the Packers. In fact, I think the Packers should make a lot of noise in the playoffs. But I’m hesitant to pick against the Cardinals. They beat the odds last year and they could do it again this year. In fact, they might have a better team this year.
Still, I think the other teams in the NFC are better than they were last year. And I think Arizona caught lightning in a bottle with their run last year.
So, I’m going to go with the Pack. And a good score is something like 30-26.
