Well, it looks like the Cowboys don’t have a chance in this game. This is, if you listen to almost any “expert” in the media. Some of them are even setting the Cowboys chances at 0%. 0%? Really?

Now, I’ve never put any stock in what the media has to say and I’m not going to start now. But I guess understand where they’re coming from. After all, the Cowboys have been far from perfect in December and the Saints have been perfect all season long. But I think 0% chance is a little extreme.

There are a couple things the Cowboys have going for them. In fact, there are 3 major things:

1. The Cowboys offense has looked a lot better these last couple of weeks. By better I mean they are getting it going in their passing game. Miles Austin continues to produce. Jason Witten is more lethal than he’s been this year. And Roy Williams is beginning to get it going too. If Romo and Williams continue to improve together, the Cowboys can put up a lot of points against a Saints defense that’s given up big passing days to quarterbacks not nearly as good as Romo.

2. The Saints are playing with the weight of a perfect season on their shoulders. They know if they beat the Cowboys then they will pretty much be a lock for going 16-0.

3. The Saints have struggled the last couple of weeks and gotten lucky in their wins. They were especially lucky against the Redskins. If not for a missed chip-shot field goal, the Saints would’ve lost.

Those are 3 important factors that at least give the Cowboys a chance. More than a 0% chance!

But, with all that being said (or written), I still don’t see the Cowboys winning this game. The Saints will put-up some major points in this game. They will have to turn the ball over a few times for Dallas to keep up. I don’t think they will.

I like the Saints to win this game by a score of something like 46 – 38. And 7 of that 38 might come after the game has been decided.
