NFL: Week 9′s Big Games
Posted on | November 6, 2009 | No Comments
We’re just about to the weekend. So, now’s a great time to take a look at the biggest games this weekend. Tomorrow we will make some predictions. But for today, let’s take a quick look at the big games. Those games include Houston at Indianapolis, Baltimore at Cincinnati, Miami at New England, San Diego at New York Giants, Dallas at Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh at Denver.
Wow! That’s 6 really big games for this Sunday and Monday. And as the games begin to mean more, this is the perfect week to have so many match-ups.
Of all those games, the Baltimore and Cincy, Dallas and Philly, Miami and New England, and Pittsburgh and Denver are the biggest ones.
Miami going to New England is particularly an interesting game. The Dolphins have only won 3 games this year but they are 3-0 against their own division. But they haven’t played the Patriots yet. If Miami can go into New England and beat the Pats then they will jump right back into the race for the AFC East.
The other really intriguing game is the Dallas Cowboys going to Philadelphia. The Eagles absolutely embarrassed the Cowboys in the last game of the season last year. That game was 44-6. It was for a playoff spot and the Cowboys fell flat. The Eagles used that game to run all the way to the NFC Championship Game. The Cowboys went home with their heads down.
So, now these 2 teams will meet again and they are both on a roll. The Cowboys have won 3 straight games. The Eagles are coming off huge wins against Giants and the Redskins. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. The Eagles lost to the Raiders just 3 weeks ago and they had their struggles against the Redskins. Much of the media are predicting that the Eagles will win big. But I don’t see it. This game will be very close.
