NFL: The Super 7 for Week 9
Posted on | November 4, 2009 | No Comments
As the season goes on it’s getting easier and easier to rank the top 7 teams in the league. But after the first few teams, there really is quite a log jam for spots 5-15. But we’ll give it a shot anyway.
7. Pittsburgh Steelers
Like I said, about 5 other teams could go here. By next week we’ll have a better idea about which team deserves to be here. For now we’ll give it to the Steelers. They’ve earned it.
6. New England Patriots
The Pats are tough to figure out right now. They are suspect on defense and their offense hasn’t clicked like it should. Not sure the Pats should be in this position but they are 5-2. And they are the Pats.
5. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are rolling right now. The Cowboys are coming to town and the Eagles can really put themselves in a nice position half way through the season. IF they beat the Boys on Sunday night then the NFC East will be there’s to lose.
4. Denver Broncos
They had to lose at some point. Now we’ll see how good they really are. We’ll see how they bounce back this week against the Steelers.
3. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings have a great running back, a great defense, and an old quarterback who’s playing great too. The next 3 weeks are pretty easy wins for the Vikings. But after that, they’ll start to falter. But they might be able to rise to #1 before November is done.
2 Indianapolis Colts
This has the be the quietest undefeated team in the history of football. Everyone is talking about the Saints, the Vikings, the Pats, and the Steelers. Meanwhile, the Colts are blowing out most teams they play. Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that they won last week when they played horribly.
1. New Orleans Saints
And finally, the Saints take the #1 spot. Yes, they struggled with the Atlanta Falcons but the Falcons are a really good team. The Saints have an offense that will always keep then in any game. And that’s what makes them the #1 team.
