MLB: A-Rod No Longer A Fraud
Posted on | November 2, 2009 | No Comments
For years Alex Rodriguez has been one of the most dominant baseball players during the regular season. In fact, some years he was THE most dominant baseball player in the league. But that was during the regular season. Once the post season came around, A-Rod disappeared and his Yankees quickly followed.
But not this year.
Finally A-Rod has shaken lose from his October woes and he’s finally leading the Yankees. And it looks like he’ll lead them to their 27th World Championship.
Tonight A-Rod and the Yankees will try to “sweep” the Phillies in Philadelphia. They’ll try to win their 3rd straight game in Philly – the 4th straight overall. Since the Phillies took Game 1 the Yankees have been feasting on the Phillies’ pitching and they’ve been pulling out games late.
And leading the charge all along has ben Alex Rodriguez. Last night A-Rod had his first ever game winning hit in the postseason. His first ever! All those millions of dollars he’s made over his career and he’s NEVER really has a hit that’s meant all that much! Wow!
But when A-Rod wins a World Series ring (and it’s looking like he will win one this year) then he will be vaulted into being one of the best players of all time. The fact that he’s hitting so well will only help him to be in the argument as best baseball player ever.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about A-Rod is the fact that after getting hit by a pitch he homered. And then he got plunked a couple more times and he still kept his cool and made the Phillies pay for them hitting him. He didn’t get shaken and he didn’t fall into a slump. Instead he rose to the occasion and he won the game for the Yankees last night.
That officially ended any name calling including A Fraud. A-Rod is not a fraud anymore.
