Liverpool vs Manchester United – Betting preview
Game: Liverpool vs Manchester United
Competition: Barclays Premier League
Venue: Anfield, Liverpool
KO Time: 14:00 GMT
Last season when Liverpool mounted a serious title challenge, they beat Manchester United twice. Yet the ended up falling short of the title. This time, it is more about pride than points. Having already lost four times in the League and struggling to put points on the board, both domestically and in Europe, Liverpool will have to scrap for everything when they host Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
Do you fancy a home revival for the Merseysiders against their perennial nemesis ? Here are some excellent bookmakers for you to place a bet. Be sure to read our preview before heading over to bet.

Form guide (Liverpool- last few games)
v. Lyon (Lost) 1-2 (Benayoun)
v. Sundeland (Lost) 0-1 ()
v. Chelsea (Lost) 0-2 ()
v. Fiorentina (Lost) 0-2 ()
Their recent form tells all the story. Without Gerrard and Torres, in recent games, Liverpool have been toothless and impotent. Having scored just once in their last four games, they have done enough to disappoint fans who are planning a protest against Benitez before the start of the game.
Benitez though can call upon Fernando Torres to alleviate the pressure on him. The Spaniard is fit for action. So is Glen Johnson, who was struggling with a groin injury. There are still doubts over the participation of captain Steven Gerrard. Aquilani, Dossena, Kyrgiakos, Kelly and Riera will not make the lineup due to injury.
Form guide (Manchester United- last few games)
v. CSKA (Win) 1-0 (Valencia)
v. Bolton (Win) 2-1 (Samuel OG, Valencia)
v. Sunderland (Draw) 2-2 (Berbatov, Ferdinand OG)
v. Wolfsburg (Win) 2-1 (Giggs, Carrick)
Manchester United, on the other hand, are in a rich vain of form. They sit comfortably atop both the domestic League as well as their Champions League group. The most positive aspect is that they have managed to win their last two games without their star forward Wayne Rooney, who looks likey to miss this one as well. Darren Fletcher, who scored United’s goal in their 1-4 defeat last season, is also missing. Ryan Giggs and Patrice Evra though return to the line-up.
Match Verdict: Liverpool have a habit of raising their game against Manchester United. They will be wanting to get their “title bid” back on track. United would be looking to reverse last years’ results. It’ll be a real close affair, and I predict a scored draw.
Liverpool 1-1 Manchester United (Kuyt//Barbatov)
