High flying Tottenham Hotspur, who currently lie third in the table host Stoke City in a top-half encounter. Tottenham have bounced back after successive defeats to United and Chelsea. They have gained four points from two tricky encounters away to Bolton and Portsmouth and a home game against Stoke couldn’t have come at a better time.

Form Guide ( Last few games- all competitions- Tottenham Hotspur)
v. Portsmouth (Win) 2-0 (King, Defoe)
v. Bolton (Draw) 2-2 (Kranjcar, Corluka)
v. Burnley (Win) 5-0 (Keane *4, Jenas)
v. Preston NE (Win) 1-5 (Crouch *2, Defoe, Keane)

Tottenham’s home record is something for the visiting teams to fear. They have won 9 out of their last 10 home games and only Arsenal have kept a clean sheet at the Lane in 2009. Although Spurs will be without the services of Jermaine Defoe, Redknapp will have the firepower of Peter Crouch, Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko up front. Ledley King will continue to lead the team from the back following his return to first team football last week.

Form Guide ( Last few games- all competitions- Stoke City)
v. West Ham (Win) 2-1 (Beattie * 2)
v. Everton (Draw) 1-1 (Huth)
v. Manchester United (Loss) 0-2 ()
v. Bolton (Draw) 1-1 (Kitson)

The Potters have drawn three of their four away games so far this season. And they would love to take a point from White Hart Lane, a ground they have not won at in 34 years. Tony Pulis will be without German defender Robert Huth who has been suspended for three games for punching Matthew Upson in Stoke’s last game against West Ham. Apart from that, Stoke are expected to field a strong physcial side with Kitson and Beattie testing Spurs’ defence.

Match Verdict: My money is on Spurs to win this at home. The London club have been terrorising defences at home and the Potters would do exceptionally well to restrict the damage. A resounding 3-1 win for Spurs.

Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 Stoke City (Keane,Crouch,Kranjcar // Beattie)
