NFL: The Super Seven
Posted on | October 1, 2009 | No Comments
It’s already time for the super seven for week 3. Slowly but surely we’ll begin to get a better idea of exactly how each team is going to do. We can usually get a decent idea after 3 or 4 weeks. However, there is always a couple teams who will tank at the end of the season and a couple teams who will tank at the end of the season.
But, we’ll just keep an eye on all of that. Right now let’s take a look at the top 7 teams after the first 3 weeks. There are 7 undefeated teams right now but only 6 of them make this list (sorry Denver – if you beat the Cowboys then you’ll be listed).
7. Philadelphia Eagles
No McNabb, no problem. In fact, Kolb looks like a world beater right now. Depth at QB can’t be igmored. Neither can the Eagles.
6. Indianapolis Colts
Sorry, I’m just not sold on the Colts. Yeah, they’re 3-0 and they have Manning, but they just haven’t impressed me.
5. New York Jets
The Jets are a fun team to watch. They have a fired-up defense and a rookie QB. Something tells me the defense will have to carry this team. Because Sanchez isn’t quite as good as some like to make him out to be. Still, the Jets are a solid team.
4. Minnesota Vikings
Favre worked his magic yet again. Don’t expect that to happen too much more this year. The fact that it happened at all tells me the Vikings aren’t quite there yet.
3. New Orleans Saints
For once their offense looked average. Just a bump in the road or can they be shut down? Until we know the answer, they can’t be higher than #3.
2. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are the best team int eh AFC… for now. Something tells me they might be there for a while.
1. New York Giants
The Gianst are 3-0 with a couple big wins and they still haven’t gotten their running game going or their defense. Imagine if they do?
