NFL: The Super Seven for Week 2
I don’t want to beat a dead horse here, but it really is too early to know exactly how good or bad each team is going to be this year. So, don’t put too much on this week’s Super Seven. But here goes..
7. Indianapolis Colts
I have no idea what type of team the Colts are. But they are 2-0 and they did beat a decent Dolphins team on Monday night. So, here they are at 7.
6. New York Jets
I thought they’d beat the Pats and they did. But they still have a rookie QB. I think this will be a really good team this year. I just don’t see them being a top 5 team this year.
5. Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons have all the pieces to be a really good team. But I’m just not completely sold on this team. Still, they are a top 5 team… barely.
4. New Orleans Saints
The Saints can score points in bunches. That’s for sure. However, they still have questions on defense. That just might be their achilles heal this year.
3. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens get my vote for being the best team in the AFC right now. They are right now. But a lot can and will change before the end of the season.
2. Minnesota Vikings
They have a great defense. They have a great running game. They have an average quarterback with a ton of experience. But if a team is able to take Petersen out of the game, can Favre win them a game? I have my doubts. And that’s the only reason why they aren’t my #1.
1. New York Giants
The Giants got a win in Dallas and they had key injuries they were dealing with. Yeah, the Cowboys gifted them the game by turning the ball over 4 times. But the Giants still went into a hostile environment and won. Plus, Eli and his young receivers looked great. The Giants should get their defense healthy and their running game should come around. When those 2 things happen… look out.

I think I move the Ravens ahead of the Vikings. Possibly the Jets ahead of the Falcons as well. Good list.
