NFL: What to Look for in Week 2

Tomorrow we’ll take a look at all the games on Sunday and Monday and we’ll take a crack at picking the games. But before we get into the actual games tomorrow, I wanted to take a look at some of the more intriguing things to look for this week.
First of all, how will Jay Cutler play? Last week he looked horrible but the Chicago Bears still managed to beat the Packers. Now Cutler has to face the Pittsburgh Steelers. If Cutler once again throws a bunch of picks, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear some grumbles from Chicago. They won’t have a lot of patience for another QB who throws a lot of INTs.
Another quarterback to keep an eye on is Tony Romo. Statistically, Romo has the best game of his career against the Bucs last Sunday. Now Romo will be facing a great defense in the New York Giants. Will he continue to thrive without TO or will he falter?
Another story to watch is how the Patriots play. I don’t care what anyone says, the Pats didn’t play well last Monday night and they were really lucky to beat the Buffalo Bills. Now they’re playing the New York Jets. We’ll at least get a sense of how good (or bad) the Pats are then.
The play of the Miami Dolphins is another storyline to watch. The Dolphins were so fundamentally solid last year. But in week 1 the Fins were horrendous. I expect they’ll be a lot better this week but what if they aren’t?
Finally, the opening of Cowboys Stadium on Sunday night is another big story to watch. This play is amazing. But the Giants want nothing more than to open that stadium by beating the Cowboys. It will be cool to see the stadium and to see how the Cowboys play in their new place.
