Miami Heat vs Houston Rockets

This is an interesting battle between the Houston Rockets (33-19) and the Miami Heat (26-26). Both teams are harboring championship ambitions. The Heat is the defending champions but they have only recently climbed to a 0.50 record. For the rest of the season, they will have to do a lot better to chase Washington for the division title. Houston is the best defensive team in the West. While many a fan has been pulled away by Dallas and Phoenix, Houston is shaping up to be a dangerous playoff team.
In the past 10 home games against the Heat, Houston has a weak 3-7 record. On the ATS, Houston has a 3-7 record at home against Miami. In their past 10 games, Houston is 7-3 while Miami is also 7-3. This season, the Rockets are 19-7 at home while the Heat are 11-16 on the road so it shows that Rockets are good at home while Miami is erratic on the road.
The Rockets is missing Yao Ming and Bob Sura. While Yao Ming is one of the Rockets main weapon and Bob Sura is an able veteran, Houston seems to be doing very well without both these players. The Heat is missing Jason Williams and Wayne Simien. Jason Williams is a capable point guard but Wade can handle some point duties as well. Miami has the team to repeat as NBA champions and now that they have Shaq healthy again, they will consolidate their position and make a run to get a higher seeding in the weak East. For Houston to win, they need big games from T-Mac, Rafer Alston and the evergreen Mutombo.
Take the Heat at (+2.5) handicap offered at Bodog. Their record against Houston speaks for itself
