The Knicks are proving themselves to be a serious contender for the final playoff spot from the Eastern Conference. With half of the season left to go, they are 3 games behind the Heat and Magic, meaning they have to really put their best foot forward to make the playoffs. Going into the Wachovia Center tonight, the Knicks have a 2-game winning streak and they look absolutely hungry to win more. They beat Orlando on Tuesday 100-94 with Jamal Crawford and Eddy Curry contributing 20 points each, and David Lee bringing in 14 points and 16 rebounds. Curry says the team is high on confidence and they feel they have a chance to win every single game from this point onwards. That may not be good news for the Sixers, who went 3-9 for the last dozen games. After losing Iverson and Webber, Philadelphia are struggling to put their game together with nothing much to play for the rest of the season.
Coming into tonight’s game with a 3-game losing streak, they look a pale team in comparison with the Knicks who are doing well on the road and playing exciting basketball each and every game. In their 92-85 loss to the Washington Wizards last Wednesday, the Sixers shot for only 38% from the field and had 20 turnovers. Bodog gives a 2 ½ Handicap to the Knicks because they are playing away. And you can go with the Knicks to win this game.
