Atlanta Hawks vs Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz (33-17) hosts the Atlanta Hawks (19-30) in a game between one of the NBA’s elite teams and one of the poorest teams. The Jazz have been one of the surprises of the season when they had the league’s best record at the start of the season. The Hawks had been underachieving for many years now and it appears they will be going to the lottery again.
In the past 10 home games against the Hawks, Utah had won all 10 games. On the ATS, Utah has a 7-2 record at home against Atlanta. In their past 10 games, Utah is 7-3 while Atlanta is 6-4. This season, the Jazz are 19-6 at home while the Hawks are a dismal 11-15 on the road but surprisingly, they have won their last 5 road games. They have not won so many roads games in a row since 1994.
The Hawks is missing Tyronn Lue. He is Atlanta’s 4th highest scorer but the team had been playing with much gumption and tenacity without him. Yesterday, they beat the Golden State Warriors in what has been a highly successful Western trip. The Jazz are still missing Carlos Boozer who is their leading scorer and rebounder so they will be somewhat affected. However, Utah has good players in Mehmet Okur, Deron Williams, Matt Harping and Derek Fisher who can step up and contribute to the success of the team. In their last game, they defeated the surging New York Knicks. For the Hawks to win, they will have to reproduce their great form which has seen them surprising some people. Josh Smith, Joe Johnson and the others have to play the game of their lives to beat a Jazz team that had been very hard to beat at home.
Take the Jazz at (-8) handicap offered at Bodog. Atlanta is coming in with no rest day and Utah’s record against the Hawks at home is too good..
