It is quite expected that once a streaky team like the Suns go down, they will sort of lose hold of their game, at least for the last 2 shows. I guess Steve Nash got it clear to his teammates after they lost to the Jazz 108-105 that they did not deserve to win that game, simply because they didn’t try hard enough. At the Pepsi Centre tonight, the Nuggets are missing two of their big-time players, Iverson and Camby, while trying to end their slump after dropping 5 out of their last 6 games. By the way, they shot for only 38% the last game against the Kings, and they even surprised themselves with that feat. Well, a freebie like this is hard to come by in the NBA these days and the Suns sure know how to pick a good time to make a comeback.

It does not look like the Nuggets have anything left in their depleted arsenal to stop the fiery Suns tonight, especially when Nash and company are coming into this game with vengeance. Not much of a chance that Carmelo Anthony plays the game of his life to outdo the Suns, especially after his worst shooting night of the season against the Kings. With two offensive teams going at each other, it’s going to be a lot of running and gunning tonight. You can expect the Suns to go beyond the +7.5 (covers) handicap to the Nuggets.
