Portsmouth vs Charlton Athletic

Woeful Charlton make the trip to the south coast to Fratton Park in search for a much wanted away win in the league this season. They have picked up only 5 points from their travel this season. Coincidently their last win away from home was against the Pompies in October when they won 2-1 after going a goal down. The Portsmouth players will have to guard against this complacency and will definitely not take this match too lightly.
New signing Lauren might make his debut in this match but from the midfield since ever present midfielder Gary O’Neal is out suspended. Other fringe players at Fratton park like David Thompson, Rudolphe Douala and another new Frenchman Arnold Mvuemba are fighting for a first team place. Alan Pardew will be happy to have his full back Osei Sankofa after a two match ban. Andy Reid will not make the trip to the south coast due to a hamstring injury. Luke Young and Darren Bent are likely to start up front and will be hoping for a few goals to up their value in the transfer market as they want away a team which is likely to get relegated this season.
Portsmouth should come out winners in this match and that is at the odds of 1.57. A brave bet on them to win it by 2 goals or more is at 2.70 and gives you good returns. My Scorecast prediction is for Kanu to score first and Portsmouth to take it 2-0 at 19.00. Portsmouth to keep a clean sheet at 2.0 is also a good bet.
