L.A. Lakers vs San Antonio Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers are the last 2 NBA champions from the Western Conference. They have won 5 of the past 7 NBA championships. Any Spurs-Lakers game is sure to be an intense affair. In 10 home games against the Lakers, San Antonio had won 6 games. On the ATS, San Antonio has a 4-6 record. Currently, the Lakers have won 7 of the last 10 games while the Spurs have won 6 games. The Spurs are 14-6 at home while the Lakers are 7-9 on the road.
The Lakers are missing Kwame Brown, Chris Mihm and Lamar Odom but the team seems to have coped well without these 3 players. The Spurs are missing Matt Bonner and Francisco Elson and this has caused some problems in their rotation patterns. For Lakers to win, it much depends on the performance of Kobe Byrant who can destroy any team on his night. This season, Phil Jackson has assembled a young running team which is second in the Pacific division. As for San Antonio, they have balanced veteran team. If Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili play to their ability, they should have no trouble winning the game. The game will also be an interesting battle of wits between Phil Jackson and Spurs coach Gregg Popovich.
This game will be close. At handicap of +8.5 points for the Lakers on Bodog, it is a very attractive bet.

Though I don’t bet on NBA I’ll give your picks a shot, a small bet just for test. Good luck!
