Manchester United vs Aston Villa

This will be their third meeting in the space of 2 weeks. The two clubs met in December in the reverse fixture when United won the match pretty easily, and the last time in the FA Cup 3rd round when United needed a late goal from Solskjaer to get them through. Sir Alex Ferguson will be determined not to leave it too late this time around at Old Trafford and will be urging his team to finish off teams early in the game rather than leaving it for too late. United have conceded a lot of goals recently and have not kept a clean sheet in their last 4 games.

Manchester United will be without Wes Brown, who is suffering from a virus but Nemanja Vidic is back after a slight niggle which kept him out of the FA Cup tie. Louis Saha is fit again after getting injured against Newcastle on New years day. It is not sure whether he will start, but will definitely be included in the squad. Paul Scholes will be back after being rested for the Aston Villa match which will mean he will partner Michael Carrick in the centre of midfield. Ryan Giggs would start instead of Park Ji Sung on the left flank. Edwin Van der Sar will be back in goal after getting a much needed rest.

Steven Davis will start in place of Petrov who is nursing a hamstring injury. Chris Sutton will miss this trip along with Craig Gardner who has a groin injury.

United to win this easily and they will be looking to keep a clean sheet to restore the tight defensive record they have had this season. I am going for a 3-0 win to united which is at the odds of 8.0. Wayne Rooney to score first is at the odds of 2.0.
