Baltimore Ravens vs Indianapolis Colts

Posted on | January 13, 2007 | No Comments

The Colts have lots of work to do to get this one past the Ravens, but one thing about them Colts is they can spring a quite a fine surprise. Just when you thought Johnson and the Chiefs are going to run all over the worst defense in the NFL, they held the star running back to 32 yards and the whole team to 126. With McNair, the Ravens have a consistent passing game and they may be forced to rely on that because it seems Jamal Lewis is going to have a rather restricted game. The chances the Colts can pull an upset depends on two things – fitness and Peyton Manning. If Manning comes back from that disappointing Chiefs game with a vengeance, the Colts certainly have what it takes to break the league’s no. 1 defense because Baltimore aren’t exactly so intimidating when defending passes.

This is also particularly important because Joseph Addai may not have the experience and bigtime plays against the Ravens. Seems like this is turning out to be a battle of the quarterbacks and if the Ravens can take care of Manning and make him lose his touch, they can quite win it hands-down. The well-rested Ravens will let it all out at the Colt quarterback right from the start of the game, and it will be really interesting to see how he stands up to it. Playing at home, I figure Baltimore should win this one.
