Losing Champions League semifinalists Arsenal and Chelsea go head to head this Sunday at the Emirates in what promises to be a great London derby.

Arsenal were dominated by Manchester United, but you could probably put it down to the two defensive errors that lead to the first two goals. The young Gunners were stunned, and never recovered from it.

Playmaker Andrei Arshavin will miss this game due to influenza, and that will be a big blow to the Gunners. Gael Clichy, William Gallas, Tomas Rosicky and Eduardo da Silva are the other absentees for the Gunners.

Arsenal form- last five games- all competitions- most recent first- Arsenal scorers in brackets

Arsenal 1-3 Manchester United ( Robin van Persie pen)
Arsenal 3-0 Portsmouth ( Carlos Vela, Nicklas Bendtner*2)
Manchester United 1-0 Arsenal
Arsenal 2-0 M’Boro ( Cesc Fabregas*2)
Liverpool 4-4 Arsenal ( Andrei Arshavin*4)

Chelsea were knocked out in controversial circumstances by Barcelona in their Champions League semifinal. The Blues took the lead through a stunner from Michael Essien, and then had nearly four clear penalty appeals turned away by the Norwegian referee. It proved costly as Andres Iniesta scored in extra time to send Barcelona through on away goals.

Chelsea have the right to feel more aggrieved than Arsenal, because at no point of time did they look second best to the Catalans. Striker Didier Drogba is a doubt with an ankle injury.

Chelsea form last five games- all competitions- Chelsea scorers in brackets- most recent games first

Chelsea 1-1 Barcelona ( Michael Essien)
Chelsea 3-1 Fulham ( Nicolas Anelka, Florent Malouda, Didier Drogba)
Barcelona 0-0 Chelsea
West Ham 0-1 Chelsea ( Salomon Kalou)
Chelsea 0-0 Everton

Chelsea eliminated Arsenal in the FA Cup recently, and IMO, they have the quality to beat the Gunners. Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-1 in the reverse fixture at the Bridge earlier this season, but it’ll take them some time to recover from the mental agony caused by the Manchester United defeat.

Verdict :- Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal ( Nicolas Anelka, Lampard)
