The Magpies travel to the City of Manchester stadium to take on Man City this week. Newcastle are having a lot of problems on and off the pitch. There have been growing speculations about the possible sacking of Glenn Roeder and getting Kevin Kegan to replace him as the manager and that is what the Geordies are calling for. The tactics used by the Newcastle boss has not worked this season and they are in the relagation zone with just 8 points from a possible 33. This is just not good enough for the Newcastle fans who are hoping for their team to play atleast in Europe next season. Stuart Pearce has also been under pressure to perform and get results from his team. The only thing he has going for him is that they have yet to lose a match at home and their form in Manchester has been excellent.

Stuart Pearce will welcome back former Liverpool player Dietmar Hamann who was out for over 3 weeks when they beat Wigan at home. Bernardo Corradi will also make a comeback from injury on Saturday and could feature on the bench. For Newcastle Shola Ameobi has been ruled out most probably with a hip injury and if he goes into surgery then that will be the end of him for the rest of the season. Kieron Dyer is also doubtful along with other players like Shay Given and Obafemi Martins who are warming the physio’s bench.

Manchester City’s home form has been very good and I expect him to get atleast a draw if not a win from this match. A Manchester City win is at 2.10 and they look favorites to win it. The mach could be a potentially high scoring encounter with both teams looking to attack right from the start. A draw also looks like a possible result at 3.20.
