NFL: What to Watch for in the Super Bowl

Yesterday I made my predictions for the Super Bowl. I took the Arizona Cardinals to win and I feel good about that. I just don’t think the Steelers are that special of team away from home without the benefit of some type of bad weather. On the other hand, the Cardinals are obviously at their best when the weather is nice.
So that’s the first thing to watch for the Super Bowl: the weather. The weather is supposed to nice. But if for some odd reason the wind picks up or it begins to rain then the momentum will swing back to the Steelers.
The next thing to watch on Sunday will be the Cardinals defense going against Big Ben. All Ben wanted to talk about this week was how he played so badly in the last Super Bowl and how he wanted to make up for it in this one. I think this could be a bad sign for the Steelers. If Ben tries to do too much he could turn into a turnover machine.
The other thing to watch will be Kurt Warner against the Steelers defense. They Steelers will probably blitz like crazy. The Cardinals will try to counter the blitz with the run, screens, and quick slants. The Steelers better watch out because a quick slant to Fitzgerald or Boldin could turn into a huge gain. Will Warner be able to burn the blitz or will he take a lot of hits. This will go a long way in deciding the winner of this game.
Lastly, you should look at the turnover battle. It’s seems odd to say but the only way the favorite in this game (the Steelers) will win this game is if they win the turnover battle by two or more turnovers. It’s how they’ve won all their games this year and the Super Bowl won’t be any different.
