NFL: Recap of Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers

Well, this game was almost everything it was cracked up to be.
Almost.
And if actually went down pretty much the way I thought it would. Big Ben didn’t make mistakes and Flacco made key mistakes. That was that. Ravens had 4 total turnovers and the Steelers had only 1.
I don’t care who the Ravens were playing this year, if they only forced 1 turnover then they would have a hard time winning. But against the Steelers, it was nearly impossible for them to win anything. The Ravens had to win the turnover battle and they didn’t. So, they lost. It was pretty much that simple.
I was impressed with the way Big Ben kept the ball away from the Ravens defense. Yeah, I know he’s won a Super Bowl. And I know that he’s on many people’s list for the best quarterbacks in the NFL. But, quite honestly, he’s never been on mine. He just has never really impressed me. And I think he made some bad decisions in the game yesterday but overall he played very well. And the way he zipped some of those balls into his receivers, it was impressive! Plus, he had some crucial dropped balls or his stats would’ve been a lot better.
And the game itself would not have been so close.
But the Steelers did look like the best team in the AFC for the last 6 weeks or so and now here they are going to the Super Bowl as the best team in the AFC. Their defense is awesome, their running game is good, and their passing game is very good.
Will all this add up to a Pittsburgh win? Well, the Steelers should definitely be favored, and they will be. But don’t automatically count out the Arizona Cardinals. I know I won’t. But the Cardinals better be ready to get beat on for 60 minutes.
