Crewe vs Manchester United

Manchester United will travel to Crewe for their first match in the Carling cup. United are the current title holders and will look to progress to the next round by not making a meal out of this relatively easy fixture. The big name players like Wayne Rooney, Ronaldo and others will be rested by the United manager and would surely give the youngsters a go.
Sir Alex Ferguson will be looking for a good performance from his youngsters in this match. Alan Smith will surely start up front in this match. He has been out for over 9 months now after suffering a broken leg and fractured ankle. Other big name players like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer might also feature in this match, but it will be interesting to see if they start from the bench or they will make the first 11. Solskjaer has played majority of the matches for the Red Devils as a right winger but if he plays in this match he will almost surely start upfront with Smudge. There are other key players that Ferguson will be looking at, Silvestre and Heinze might both make returns to competitive football after a lay off for 2-3 weeks. Kieren Richardson will be determined to prove his worth to the team and would definitely try his best to convince the manager that he is ready to start more often for United. Crewe will not have the services of their striker Rodney Jack who is definitely ruled out for this match.
I certainly fancy Manchester United to win this match rather easily. A clean sheet perhaps away from Home with a young side can add so much more to the spirit for players who are the actual bench strength for the United first team. An Asian Handicap bet on Manchester United ( – 1.5 ) at 2.05 is a good bet with nice odds. Also a win and clean sheet for the Red devils is at 1.80.
