NFL: The Super Seven for the Divisional Playoffs

Posted on | January 8, 2009 | No Comments

Here we are with just 8 teams left in the NFL playoffs. So, one team will gave to be left off the Super Seven list. Which one? Well, that’s easy. It’s the Cardinals. Will all apologies to them, here we go with this week’s Super Seven…

1. New York Giants

Sorry but I’m not going to punish the Giants because they earned the bye. They are still the Super Bowl champs and until they lay an egg and win, or lose, they will remain #1 on this list. Okay?

2. Tennessee Titans

Yeah, I know a lot of you want the Titans as the #1 seed. But we’ll see. If you want them to be #1 then read what I just said under #1 and hope for one of those two things. Of course, the Titans would have to win this week in order for that to happen. And they would have to look impressive too.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are rolling and they play the kind of football that wins games in January. If they didn’t just lose to the Titans a couple weeks ago, they’d be sitting in the #2 spot.

4. Philadelphia Eagles

Okay, here is the first Wild Card team. They deserve to be here. They are one of the hottest – if not THE hottest – teams in the NFL. They will go into New York believing they can win and they just might do it. More on this in a couple days.

5. Carolina Panthers

I just can’t believe in the Panthers, I don’t know why. They just seem too vanilla or something.

I do think they deserve to be #5 but that means they don’t deserve to be in the Championship Game. Do they deserve it? I don’t think so. But they’ll still get there.

6. Baltimore Ravens

Defense, a good running game, and a steady quarterback. That equals playoff success.

7. San Diego Chargers

The Chargers are impossible to figure out. So I’ll put them here and wait to see what happens this weekend. They just might be making a huge jump.
