NFL: Previewing Saturday’s Wild Card Games

It’s playoff time!
And we have two games on Saturday and another two games on Sunday. Today we’ll take a look at the match-ups for Saturday and then tomorrow we’ll take a look at the match-ups for Sunday.
Atlanta Falcons at Arizona Cardinals
This is the very first game of the weekend. The Cardinals, who’ve tanked since clinching the NFC West and the Falcons, who are playing some of the best football they’ve played in like 5 years.
Guess who I like in this one? The same as everyone else… the Atlanta Falcons.
However, it will be a lot of fun to watch both of these offenses. The Falcons are led by rookie Matt Ryan and it will be cool to see how he reacts to the big stage. How will he play in the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Kurt Warner has cooled off recently but he has the arm and the weapons to light-up the scoreboard. He made a habit of doing such things when he was with the Rams and leading the Greatest Show on Turf.
So, regardless how each of these teams have been playing, it will be a lot of fun to see what happens with both offenses.
My Pick: The Falcons
Indianapolis Colts at San Diego Chargers
Speaking of offenses, the Colts and Chargers may just get into an old fashioned shootout.
Logic says the Colts will run away with this game. However, the Chargers have a couple things working for them.
The Chargers have had their backs against the wall for a few games now and have won all of them. So they are rolling. Plus, last year no one gave the Chargers much of a chance in the playoffs and they stepped-up and made it to the Championship game against the Pats.
So let’s not automatically take the Colts here.
But, I will go with Indy.
My Pick: The Colts
