NFL: Super Seven for Week 17
Posted on | December 24, 2008 | No Comments
We’ve reached the last week of the regular season for the Super Seven.
Things are starting to get a little easier as the playoff seedings help with the tough decision. Still, there isn’t a clear cut great team in the NFL right now.
Here’s how I see it:
1. Tennessee Titans
The Titans are back in the top spot where they may have belonged all year long. I guess we won’t really know until the playoffs are over.
Enough can’t be said about how solid this team is. They run the ball and play defense about as well as any team in the NFL. And they can throw the ball when they need to do so.
2. New York Giants
The Giants looked dead in the water after losing to the Eagles and the Cowboys. But they got it all back together when they needed to do so. They ran over the Panthers and right into the #1 seed in the NFC.
However, if they lose this week then they are suddenly on a skid of losing 3 out of 4 games. And let’s not forget that they were a missed FG away from dropping three straight.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers are lucky and good. When they’re lucky they are great. When they aren’t so lucky, they are average. Just look at last week’s game.
4. Carolina Panthers
I’m still not sold on the Panthers.
Then again, I’m not really sold on any team in the NFL.
5. Indianapolis Colts
The Colts are on a major winning streak. But they haven’t really played anyone and really haven’t dominated anyone either.
6. Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons have come out of nowhere this year. It’s going to be very interesting to see them in the playoffs.
7. Miami Dolphins
And here is the biggest surprise on the list. The Miami Dolphins.
They aren’t winning pretty, but they are winning, every single week.
That’s more than just about every other team in the NFL.
