NFL: Super Seven for Week 16
Posted on | December 18, 2008 | No Comments
With two weeks left in the NFL regular season, it’s harder than ever to tell who the best teams really are. In fact, some of the teams on this list might not even make the playoffs.
So let’s get to the list:
1. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers may be lucky but they’re also good.
The combination has been unbeatable lately. And it’s enough to earn the Steelers the top spot in this week’s rankings.
2. Carolina Panthers
I’m certainly not sold on the Panthers. But if they win this week they will be the #1 seed in the NFC regardless what happens the last week of the season.
This week’s game with the Giants should be a great game.
3. Tennessee Titans
The Titans had a really bad loss last week. This was really the first bad loss of the season. Now the Titans have to battle the Steelers this Sunday to determine which team gets the #1 seed.
4. New York Giants
The Giants look to be in a lot of trouble. They had a bad loss to the Eagles and then an even worse loss to the Cowboys. The Giants offense was absolutely dominated by the Cowboys’ defense.
However, the Giants can still clinch the #1 seed in the NFC if they beat the Panthers this week.
5. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys may be playing the best football in the NFL right now… for most of the 60 minutes of the football game.
However, the Cowboys may very well still miss the playoffs.
6. Indianapolis Colts
The Colts have now won 7 straight games. Yet, they still aren’t one of the top two teams in the AFC.
7. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings have quietly won 4 straight games. Yet, they really haven’t played anyone.
But those 4 wins have propelled the Vikings into a great spot for winning the NFC North. The Vikings still have an outside shot at earning a first round bye (if the Giants lose to the Panthers and the Vikings win this week and beat the Giants in the last week).
