NFL: Week 15 Picks (Part 2)
Posted on | December 13, 2008 | No Comments
Yesterday I took a look at the first half (or so) of the NFL games for this weekend. Now, let’s look at the rest of the games.
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets
A few weeks ago this game looked like it was going to be huge. It looked like it could very well decide the AFC East. However, the Bills fell apart and not they are the cellar dwellers in the East.
Can the Bills play the role of spoiler? Sure. But I don’t think they will.
My Pick: The Jets
Minnesota Vikings at Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals have clinched the NFC South. They can still earn a bye of even the #1 seed in the NFC.
The Vikings lead the NFC North but by a very slim margin.
The Cardinals are at home and the Vikings are without their starting quarterback so I will have to take the Cards.
My Pick: The Cardinals
Denver Broncos at Carolina Panthers
This should be a great game.
Each of these teams lead their division. They are each looking to get on a run before the playoffs. In fact, the Panthers are playing to stay in hunt for the #1 seed in the NFC.
While the Broncos should be able to put-up points, they won’t be able to stop the Panthers’ running attack. That will be the difference.
My Pick: The Panthers
New England Patriots at Oakland Raiders
No way the Pats lose this game. No way.
My Pick: The Patriots
Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens
The Steelers are coming off their great win against the Cowboys. The Ravens are starting to get on a roll of their own.
This is a huge battle against the two best defenses in the league. It should come down to which team can protect the ball better.
I just can’t see Joe Flacko (Ravens QB) outplaying Big Ben (Steelers QB). I’ll have to go with the Steelers.
My Pick: The Steelers
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are on the verge of being knocked from the playoffs (right now they hold the last spot). The Giants would love to do that.
If you listen to ESPN and Ed Werder you’d believe that Terrell Owens and Tony Romo are feuding. But you have to realize that none of the Cowboys trust Werder and they don’t speak to him. Funny that he would be the one to get such a scoop. Yeah right.
In real news… the Giants are without their best WR (Burress) and their best RB (Jacobs). Still, the Giants have a lot of depth.
But Dallas’ defense has been really good lately and their offense will be good at home.
My Pick: The Cowboys
Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles will continue to roll.
