NFL: The Super Seven for Week 15

Posted on | December 11, 2008 | 2 Comments

It’s that time for the Super Seven once again. As always, this list is really hard to put together. In fact, I don’t even feel really comfortable about the top of the list.

But I’ll give a shot anyway…

1. Tennessee Titans

The Titans take over the top spot in the rankings because they have the best record and because no other team really deserves it. I’m not sold on the Titans, but then again I’m not sold on any team right now.

2. New York Giants

For the first time all season, the New York Giants looked disinterested in a football game. Luckily, Goddell is giving his typical preferential treatment to one of Goodies “chosen teams.” Pierce should be suspended for committing a Federal offense – allegedly – but Goodie will give him a pass. (The Pats and the Giants are always given a pass.)

Do I sound bitter? I am. And any fan of the NFL should be too. Teh double standard makes the NFL look worse than ever. And wasn’t Goodie supposed to clean-up the league?

3. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers got very lucky on Sunday. They were completely outplayed for 52:30 minutes.

But good teams find a way to win even when they are outplayed. The Steelers are obviously a good team.

4. Carolina Panthers

I’m still not sold on the Panthers. But their tough schedule the remaining three games will make or break them. However, it’s hard to imagine a scenario that keeps them out of the playoffs.

5. Indianapolis Colts

They keep rolling along over inferior opponents. We’ll see how good this team is when they go on the road in the playoffs.

6. Baltimore Ravens

A great defense and an offense that is just good enough. The Steelers and the Titans would have their hands full with this team. Actually, the Steelers will have their hands full this Sunday.

7. Dallas Cowboys

I know… the Cowboys at #7? What? Well, they are better than every team that’s left.

Who is better than them? Tampa? Dallas beat them without Romo? The Redskins? Dallas beat them. The Cards? Not lately. The Jets or Broncos? Nope and nope.

Shall I go on? I didn’t think so.

I agree, the Titans are a force and can matchup well versus any team in the league. that defense plays hard every game and the offense is better this year. I just can’t see anyone knocking them off this year but it is the NFL and anything is possible.

    thanks for the info
