NFL: Looking at Week 14 (Part I)
Posted on | December 5, 2008 | No Comments
Heading into the Week 14 games, once again there are many important games. In fact, as time goes by the games have more and more importance.
So let’s get to it…
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions
The Lions are still winless. Can this be the week that they finally get a win? Will they ever get a win?
On Thanksgiving the Lions looked like a team that had given up. If they can’t get up for Thanksgiving, how will they get up for this one?
My Pick: The Vikings
Cincinnati Bengals at Indianapolis Colts
The Colts haven’t looked very good the entire year. But they shouldn’t have a problem in this game.
My Pick: The Colts
Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints
This is one of those huge games that will have a direct impact on the playoffs. The Saints can score points but their defense is horrible. The Falcons always look steady.
However, the Falcons are going to crack sooner or later. I think this will be the first week.
My Pick: The Saints
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants
The circus pulled into New York this week. Can the Giants stay focused and clinch the NFC East this week?
The Giants may be even more distracted next week but they will win this week. Their pass rush will be too much for the Eagles and the Giants’ steady running game will be enough to score often.
My Pick: The Giants
Houston Texans at Green Bay Packers
Football in December in Green Bay. That’s what it’s all about.
The Texans are in trouble in this one.
My Pick: The Packers
Cleveland Browns at Tennessee Titans
This one could get ugly really fast.
My Pick: The Titans
Jacksonville Jaguars at Chicago Bears
What is wrong with the Jaguars? They were supposed to be a good team this year. Instead, they’ve been horrible.
The Bears haven’t been consistent enough but they will win this one pretty easily.
My Pick: The Bears
