Game : Aston Villa ( England) vs MSK Zilina (Slovakia)

Competition : UEFA Cup Group F

Venue : Villa Park, Birmingham,England

Date : 4 December, 2008, Thursday

Kickoff : 19.45 GMT

Aston Villa will look to seal their spot in the knockout stages of the UEFA Cup when they host Slovakian side MSK Zilina in the UEFA Cup on Thursday evening. Villa will qualify for the next stage should they not lose to Zilina, and will top the group if they beat Zilina and Hamburg do not lose to Slavia Prague.

Villa are currently have six points from two games, having beaten Slavia Prague and Ajax in their first two games. Martin O’Neill is likely to rest several first team players, as he is confident that his defence can get Villa the point they need against the Slovakians. So we will probably see Marlon Harewood get a start ahead of the pacy Gabriel Agbonlahor. Left back Nicky Shorey and keeper Brad Guzan are also expected to feature in the starting XI. John Carew, who scored the winner against Slavia , is out with a back strain though.

Zilina currently have one point from three European group games, and anything short of a win will see them being eliminated from the competition. They lost to Hamburg and Ajax, and drew with Slavia last week.

Aston Villa can keep a clean sheet IMO. The point is whether they can score, and I think they can. Villa to win this 1-0, with Marlon Harewood scoring.

Harewood, at 10Bet, is 5.000 to score first.
