NFL: Thanksgiving Day Games

Posted on | November 27, 2008 | No Comments

There are three games today. And as we all stuff ourselves full of turkey, there are 10 questions I’ll be looking for answers to.

Here they are:

1. Can the Lions break through with a win?

The Lions are winless and looking like they just might go 0-16. But this is the perfect stage for them to grab their first win of the year – against a team that just lost their first game.

2. How will the Titans bounce back?

The Titans should be angry and ready to beat up on the hapless the Lions. How angry will they be? And how well will the Titans play?

3. Can the Cowboys make it three in a row with Romo?

The Cowboys look like a different team with Romo at the helm. Can the Boys win their third straight and move to 8-4 on the season?

4. Is Seattle this bad?

Have the Seahawks fallen this far? If they get trounced on National Television then the answer to that question is certainly yes.

5. How will Dallas’ offense look?

The Cowboys were horrible on offense without Romo. But with Romo they can be one of the best in the NFL, if not the best. Last week they showed signs of returning to their dominant selves. Will that continue today or can the Seahawks contain them?

6. How will the Eagles respond?

The Eagles have been left for dead. Now they play on Thanksgiving night against the Arizona Cardinals. The Eagles will come out fired up but will it be enough to win?

7. Will the Cards win a tough road game?

The Cards are a different team on the road. They’re also coming off a loss to the Giants at home. They need to show they can win on the road.

8. How will McNabb play?

Coming off his first benching ever, Donovan McNabb needs to have a good game or he might be on the bench for the rest of the year.

9. Will LenDale White get more carries?

Will the whiner White explode if he doesn’t get enough touches tonight. Will he get any touches after basically saying he didn’t care about the game because he wasn’t involved?

10. How many of these teams will make the playoffs?

By my count, three of these teams will make the playoffs – Tennessee, Dallas, and Arizona. Not too bad for Thanksgiving Day games.
