NFL: Previewing Thanksgiving Games
On Thursday the NFL will feature three games. There will be the two traditional games: at Detroit and at Dallas, and then there will be the not so traditional night game on NFL Network. The Detroit Lions will host the Tennessee Titans, the Dallas Cowboys will host the Seattle Seahawks, and the night game will feature the Philadelphia Eagles hosting the Arizona Cardinals.
Let’s take a closer look at each of these games.
Tennessee Titans at Detroit Lions
This game looked like it was going to pit a winless team against an undefeated team. But the Titans lost to the Jets on Sunday. So now the game is pretty meaningless.
Of course, the Lions still want to win a game. They don’t want to be the first team in NFL history to go 0-16. But they have the look of a team that might just do that.
Meanwhile, the Titans are going to be angry in this game. The only question in this game might be: Will the game be over by the end of the 1st quarter or by the end of the first half?
My Pick: The Titans
Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys
The Seahawks have been horrible this year. But this is their shot at redemption.
The Cowboys need this game to keep their push for the playoffs going.
The Dallas offense started to click on Sunday and that will continue in this game. The Dallas defense has been playing a lot better lately.
My Pick: The Cowboys
Arizona Cardinals at Philadelphia Eagles
The Cards don’t play very well away from home. This will be a cold weather game and the Cards like the warm weather.
The Eagles need this win or their season is over (if it isn’t already). McNabb might be benched after this game. In fact, I say he will be if he doesn’t play well.
The time on McNabb playing in Philly begins now.
My Pick: The Cardinals
