NFL: A Lot of Big Games Coming-Up This Week
Wow. This week is absolutely packed with great games. Just about every other game on the schedule is important and will have a major effect on the playoff race.
Just off the top of my head some of the bigger games include: the Miami Dolphins hosting the New England Patriots, the New York Giants visiting the Arizona Cardinals, the Philadelphia Eagles making the short trip to visit the Baltimore Ravens, the Green Bay Packers at the New Orleans Saints (Monday night), the Carolina Panthers at the Atlanta Falcons, and the New York Jets at the Tennessee Titans.
And let’s not forget the Sunday night game either – the Indianapolis Colts visiting the San Diego Chargers. This game is really a must win for both of these teams. But it’s even bigger for the Colts. The Chargers play in a bad enough division to still make the playoffs even if they go like 8-8. But the Colts needs to keep winning if they hope to have a shot at a wildcard spot.
Meanwhile, the Titans will get another tough test this week. They host the Jets, winners of their last 4 games. One thing that seems certain is that the Titans won’t blowout the Jets – the Titans don’t blowout anyone. So this should be a close game and that means Favre will have a chance to perform his magic. So the only question then is this: Will it be white or black magic? Will be throw a late TD or a late INT?
The the Dolphins hosting the Patriots is another huge game. If the Dolphins win and sweep the season series with the Pats and move what would be basically 2 games ahead of the Pats then you should listen carefully for the “Queen is dead” chant. Because that will mark the end of the Pats, at least for this year.
