NFL: Games to Watch
Posted on | November 16, 2008 | 2 Comments
There are many great games to watch today. These games are huge for the teams involved.
No game is bigger than the Dallas Cowboys visiting the Washington Redskins. With a win the Redskins can put a lot of distance between themselves and the Cowboys. It will pretty much guarantee the Redskins finishing above the Cowboys.
If the Cowboys win then they’ll pull even with the Redskins. And with all the injuries and all the bad play from the Cowboys, this will be a huge confidence builder. And the Redskins will have to wonder what they have to do to shake the Cowboys.
It looks like the best player on the Redskins may be out or possibly very limited for this game. Clinton Portis has a knee injury that some reports said is an MCL sprain. If it is an MCL sprain then he won’t play Sunday and he probably won’t be back for at least two more weeks.
But this game will also see the return of Tony Romo. The Dallas offense has been horrible without Romo as the quarterback. Now, they get Romo back and we should see the Cowboys offense take off.
Last time these two teams played, the Redskins won in Dallas by two points. The Redskins corners held TO all game long and did a decent job controlling TO. However, this time Dallas has Roy Williams at their 2nd receiver. And we should see TO in motion, which will help him get off the line.
So it will be very interesting to see how the Redskins defense fares against the Cowboys offense.
But it will also be fun to watch how the Redskins offense plays against the Dallas defense. Will they have Portis? Will Jason Campbell be able to carry this team? Campbell threw his first two picks of the season last game. Will he continue to turn the ball over or will it protect it well like he did the rest of the season?
We shall see on Sunday night.

I watched the replay 3 times. The Chargers threw to receiver who quickly handed off (backwards) and that guy pitched the ball backwards where Troy Palamolo tipped it and ran into endzone. The scoreboard showed 17-8 Pittsburgh. The refs were bringing both teams out for the xtra point. Then a voice in a headset said..”game over” and the refs looked confused. Who made that decision.
I did! Jacki the bookie.
The books had Steelers at 4.5 to win if you bet them. After removing Palomolo’s touchdown, the books won!!
Robbery in the NFL.
