NFL: Week 10 Super Seven
Posted on | November 6, 2008 | No Comments
It’s time for my Super Seven once again. No changes at the top, but the bottom continues to churn.
So let’s get to it…
1. New York Giants
The media fell in love with the New York Giants after they dismantled a wounded Cowboys team.
But you know what?
If you go back and look at that game, the Cowboys really weren’t all that outplayed.
The Giants passing game was ineffective, and the running game rolled-up the most yards after the game was decided.
Still, this is my #1 team… for now.
2. Tennessee Titans
So, if I’m down on the Giants then why not put the Titans in the #1 spot. After all, they are undefeated.
But I think the Titans would lose to the Giants if the two teams played right now.
Sure, the Titans have a great defense but their offense is not good. The Packers handled them pretty easily. And the Packers took them to overtime.
3. Carolina Panthers
Let’s not pretend not to notice the Panthers anymore, okay? They are the second best team in the NFC and they might just be the second best team in the entire league.
4. Pittsburgh Steelers
I still don’t like the way the Steelers protect their quarterbacks, or how they do NOT protect.
And now Big Ben is hurt. But I’ve always been a Byron Leftwich fan.
And the Steelers do everything else so well that they have to be at least #4.
5. Arizona Cardinals
The Cards are for real.
But they still have to play better on the road.
6. Baltimore Ravens
Do the Ravens have a good enough offense? Do they have a good enough defense to cover for their offense?
Well, so far so good.
7. Philadelphia Eagles
Okay, Eagles. I’ll put you here for now.
You beat the Giants and you’ll jump up. You lose and you drop out.
