NFL: Week 8 Predictions (Part 2)
Posted on | October 25, 2008 | No Comments
Well, now it’s time to take a shot at the second half of games for Week 8.
So let’s get right to it…
San Diego Chargers at New Orleans Saints
The Saints were supposed to be one of the favorites to go to the Superbowl from the NFC. Their offense has been decent but their defense is bad. Now they’re in London with steroid issues looming over the heads of at least three of their starters.
Both teams need this win but the Chargers are in a much better situation to get that win.
My Pick: The Chargers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Dallas Cowboys
Speaking of teams that were supposed to go to the Superbowl. The Cowboys were almost everyone’s pick. Now they are just about everyone’s pick to miss the playoffs.
Will they continue to fall? Will the Bucs solidify their position as one of the top teams in the NFC?
Despite the angles the media wants to play, Dallas has been decimated by injuries. The Bucs have not. That is the difference.
My Pick: The Buccaneers
Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans
Does anyone care? I’m not sure I do. But I do think the Texans win this one.
My Pick: The Texans
Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Browns look like they might be getting their stuff together a little. But they won’t move the ball enough against the Jags defense.
My Pick: The Jaguars
New York Giants at Pittsburgh Steelers
This is the huge battle of the week.
The Giants can’t claim they are underdogs anymore. They are considered the best team in the NFC and they haven’t even played anyone yet.
I like the Steelers here.
My Pick: The Steelers
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers
The Seahawks are a mess. The 49ers will rally around their new coach, Mike Singletary.
My Pick: The 49ers
Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans
The Titans are the last undefeated team in the NFL. The Colts have been stumbling around too much.
I think the Colts win this one and hand the Titans their first loss of the season.
My Pick: The Colts
